Headshot of Dr.Alexandra Johnson

Dr. Alexandra Johnson

Visiting Lecturer of Chemistry
  • Profile

Dr. Alexandra Johnson received her B.A. in Biochemistry from Vassar College and her PhD in Chemistry from the Johns Hopkins University, under the supervision of Dr. Rebekka S. Klausen. Alex’s research focused on the precision synthesis and functionalization of cyclic organosilanes. She completed an ORISE Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Energy (DOE)-Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), where she advised, documented, and implemented programs and funding practices related to STEM and University partnerships in the clean energy sector. Alex’s interests in Synthetic Chemistry, STEM education, and public service drives her to advocate for others and foster new generations of scientists.
